for years (in Manhattan & upstate) I've been trying to find a hair dresser who can cut curly hair and give it some style, I finally found what I was looking for in Maki. Time and again I get compliments for her cuts. I love the fact that she dry cuts , so what I see, is what I get. And getting shampooed after the cut, is the icing on the cake. It means I don't have hair all over my clothing, when I leave her place. Maki is professional, talented, knowledgeable and I highly recommend her.

After Maki. I now look glowingly in the mirror, receive compliments from my wife, friends, and sons on my new sleek looks, and don't dread going in for a cut. Maki makes the experience stress-free. A dry cut, letting the hair fall naturally, with an invigorating wash at the end. It can't be beat. I recommend her highly to one and all.
Maki is really easy to work with and will actually listen to what you ask her. Always ends up looking pitch perfect and grows in well for some time after the cut.
Maki has cut my hair several times, and she's undoubtedly the best hair stylist I've ever gone to. I have very long, thick curly hair, and Maki cuts it beautifully using the dry hair cut method. She was even able to rehabilitate the terrible haircut I had before I started going to her. She also charges an affordable rate for a haircut that would be very expensive in New York City. I highly recommend that everyone go to Maki!

Maki gives great haircuts. We all know the endless search for a good haircut, and my search ended when I went to Maki for the first time. She cuts hair like an artist and the results are museum worthy. I'm so happy to have found a stylist of this caliber up here in "the country." Plus one gets to spend some time with Maki's cute toy poodle, Mikey, the mountain-climbing dog, to keep things lively.
