My girlfriend and I stayed here in mid-October. We had an awesome time. Our site was in good shape with plenty of room for a tent, a picnic table and a fire ring. Bathrooms were close by and they were very clean. Campground hosts were so friendly and made checking in/out and getting firewood so easy. Firewood is $5/crate, which is cheaper than other places around, and each crate has 6 large pieces of wood.

Camped on the edge of the river in early June – slot C9 lets you walk right up to the water and was perfect for our 3 year old daughter's first camping trip. Had a fantastic time, saw bald eagles, hawks, and a blue heron – along with beautiful scenery.
The campground crew were super helpful, grabbing us water from town and bringing us firewood when ours ran out. We'll definitely be back.
Definitely check out Uncle Pete's if you're in the area and looking to do some rustic camping close to Phoenicia and the Catskills' many hiking trails.
Awsome camp ground to get away for a weekend even a week. Tucked away in the woods to give you a real camping feeling and right next to the river. Has a beautiful view of the moutain range. Great camp sites some more private then others close to town and a great staff. I will definitely be returning here for some more get aways.
